1.19.6 Auto Design Primers Dialog

• The Auto design primers (Primer3) dialog (Figure 1.19.6.1) is divided into three sections. Each section is detailed below.

• You can add a description and change the name of the primer. To edit the selection, change the start and end locations, or select a different sequence and click "Use selection" (Figure 1.19.6.2).

• Select a primer task from the drop down menu.

• In the expanded "General" section you will find primer parameters. The default values for all primer parameters can be edited (Figure 1.19.6.3).

• More parameters can be found under "Advanced" (Figure 1.19.6.4) which can also be edited if desired.

• Click "Generate" to generate the primers.
