1.5.4 Adding Amino Acids

• You can add amino acids into your sequence.
• Navigate to a coding sequence, hover over the translation and select or right click on the amino acid before which you would like to add the amino acid and select “Insert Amino Acids...” from the drop down menu (Figure 1.5.4.1).
• The ”Insert Amino Acid” dialog will appear (Figure 1.5.4.2). where you can type in the amino acid/s you would like to insert (use the 1 letter representation).

• Select OK and then the ”Translation Settings” dialog will appear. You can choose to translate according to codon usage or to a translation table. For more details about translation see section 1.15.
