RBS Calculator Tutorial Video

  • The run time of the RBS calculator may be up to 30 mins, depending on the task, the length of the sequence and the options selected (Figure 1.28.7.1).

  • The results panel shows the mRNA sequence of the RBS and CDS, where the RBS is indicated by uppercase letters and the CDS is shown in lowercase. This panel also shows the translation initiation rate (TIR) of the CDS in this mRNA. This panel is shown in all RBS calculator tasks.

  • RBS tasks (except for "Analyze a RBS") also produce a list of predicted RBS sequences with the corresponding CDS and TIR (Figure 1.28.7.2).
  • Selecting an entry from this list will show its details in the upper results panel (Figure 1.28.7.1).
  • From the list you can also copy the CDS and RBS by using the "Copy RBS" and "Copy CDS" buttons.

  • The results list is ordered by the length of the RBS site.
